this song has been thru so many different edits & features & versions it's crazy. the idea originated months before the beat, I wanted to have a "suburban" type song on my album for just me & Cullen. months later, when me & Cullen were working on the RETRO EP, Dylan posted a snippet of this beat on his Snapchat story & Cullen asked him if we could use it. we went over to Dylan's house to record it--& we did--but it didn't sound right. the song seemed to have a lot more potential. I told Cullen we should save it for my album & that I'd put an open verse on it & send it to a couple people. one of the people I sent it to was Kevin (Qaewin) who loved it & sent back a verse within days. I thought it'd be cool to have a "clique" type track so I sent it out to Kieran Harris, Kamy, Germayne, Zach (ZPO) & a couple other people to see if they wanted to drop verses on it. at one point this song was 10+ minutes long. I ended up scrapping the "clique" idea in the end, cutting a couple verses & only keeping Kevin & Zach on it. I think it ended up perfect tho. this is my favorite on the album if I had to pick one just cause it's been thru so much & still maintained the original frame as it started with.
