this song is crazy. I think what makes it so crazy is the simplicity of the songs structure (3 choruses, 2 verses) but the fact that I did so much with it. I wrote the chorus just for fun (freestyling the "you ain't living like us, living life till we buss" line) & ended up having it stuck in my head all day. I knew I had to use it but I couldn't sing it very well so I knew it would need a couple edits. Dylan sent me the beat a day later & I absolutely loved its weirdness. then I wrote the first verse off of the first letters of each bar. I thought it'd be cool to have a hidden message in a verse, so i thought of a 16 letter message to say. I decided on "so stay in your lane," so I wrote those letters vertically on a sheet of paper & wrote the verse around it. so the first letter of each bar in the first verse spells out "SOSTAYINYOURLANE." pretty cool. the second verse was a verse off a song I wrote & recorded in September 2014 called "short-shorts & a grey sweater" that I cut cause the song didn't sound right. crazy verses on that song tho, I ended up using the first verse of it in my feature on Cullen's "League."
